NFC products

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range radio frequency communication technology that enables data exchange between devices a few centimeters or inches apart. NFC technology is used in ticketing and payment applications, making it possible to pay for a metro ticket with a mobile phone, for example. NFC tags can also be attached to posters (smart posters) or magazines, providing access to exclusive internet content or downloadable mobile phone applications.

The technology follows the ISO 14443 proximity standard and combines the interface of an RFID card/ticket plus a reader in a single device. An NFC device is able to communicate with existing ISO 14443 RFID cards/tickets and readers and other NFC devices, so it is compatible with existing contactless infrastructure.
